I am surpsingly ahead of the game with getting my meal plan done Saturday morning, usually its Sunday with a grocery shop Monday. Meal planning is one way that I start my week off right and trying to stay as focused on what I can control. Generally, I plan for one cheat meal but with three events this week I will be doing my best while at them to stay on course.
I am generally a creature of habit when it comes to Breakfast and Lunch BUT this week I am really trying to switch it up. I want more flavour and to experiment with recipes more. The dinners are from my Better Homes and Garden Grill It cook book. I may end up subbing a few items BUT over all my goal is to make clean eatting as delicious as possible. I will be posting the recipes as I go on my like page as well as on here.
What I have for breakfast and lunch will solely depend on what the day looks like, if it's incredibly busy with meetings etc. than I opt for my SHAKEOLOGY because it's easy, tastes good and is portable. PLUS, it keeps me full for three hours and is the equivalent of eating 6 salads in one meal. I have to say that I use to be a skeptical person about the shakes...I remember messaging others about and inquiring ALL the time but never tried them. Now I am a TRUE believer...why? Probably because I have more energy than I have ever, it feeds my body with nutrients that I wouldn't get from any other food that I would eat. Its boosted my immune system and I literally went a year without a cold...UNTIL I ran out of Shakeology and was off of it for a week.
Generally my snacks involve with fruit, greek yogurt, and almonds. I do tend to bake some clean muffins etc for Jax and Chris to have around so the odd time I will sneak one of those!
I will be incorporating a Recipes section and in there you will be able to find my recipes.
Here is our weekly plan, I will be doing my grocery shop either tomorrow or Monday morning followed by cooking up some chicken for wraps and salads. We tend to cut up and portion out our fruit, veggies and nuts as well for easy grab and go. The less time I have to think about it the less likely I am to grab something unhealthy.
