This summer has been packed full of some crazy fun events. From Nashville for Coach Summit, to a week of camping with family, to wedding party celebrations, it has just seemed like a whirl wind of a summer.
The one thing that has probably stayed consistent with me is my desire to push towards my goals. When I started working out from home about a year ago, I didn't have the same desire and drive that I do today. What changed over the past year? I did. I started diving into personal development and reading some books that really focused on self development, life goals and career goals. I quickly realized that no one is going to do any of this for me and if I want to be strong, fit and healthy than I need to be the one to do it.
I am reading a book right now called The Slight Edge and this book has put so many things into perspective for me. Goals we have for ourselves in life, we tend to tell ourselves that they aren't achievable because "I can't do it" I have learned over the past few months that you can absolutely achieve anything you want in life, you just have to set your mind to it and go for it. The other thing that I have learned is that these things are easy not to do, we all know what we need to do to save money....but it's easy not to do it. We all know what we need to do to loose weight, but it's easy not to do it. This book is the exact reason why I now get up at 5:30am to start my day. Am I crazy? Maybe. For me, this is what works...I check in with my challenge groups, get my workout done and get my day started before Jax gets up. Let me tell ya, I am one happier momma if I wake up and just get it done. Is it easy not to do it, yes it is. But that's where I have my goals set and I want to achieve my personal goals and business goals more than I want to sleep that extra hour.
This week will be regular routine for us around the Pleiter household with our workouts following the Body Beast program. This program is DYNAMITE! Our goal is to always workout at least 5 days a week and anything extra is bonus:)

I always set out with a meal plan and try and follow it as best we can, sometimes things come up and we stray a way a little bit BUT having a plan keeps us on the straight and narrow for the most part:)
